Why Panasonic owners book us
Panasonic is a strong second-tier choice in the Malaysian market — popular in condos because of the wide range of compact wall-split models, ECONAVI energy management, and reasonable parts pricing. We service Panasonic at high volume; common faults and parts are well understood.
Common Panasonic faults we handle
Indoor fan motor failure
Panasonic's most frequent fault on 6+ year units. RM 250–450 replacement.
PCB failure on inverter models
RM 350–600 OEM.
Drain pump failure (cassette/ducted)
RM 180–280.
Refrigerant leak at indoor coil
Moderately common on older Panasonic; coil replacement often uneconomic vs unit replacement.
ECONAVI sensor calibration drift
Rare, but causes unit to run inefficiently. Recalibration during chemical wash.
Panasonic parts
OEM Panasonic parts are widely available — Panasonic has strong distributor presence in Malaysia. Lead time 1–3 days on specialist parts. Common parts stocked. Aftermarket Panasonic-compatible parts (capacitors, drain pumps) exist and we use them on older units where OEM is no longer manufactured.
What's different about servicing Panasonic
Panasonic units in older condos sometimes have non-standard installations (incorrectly-sized refrigerant lines, undersized condensate drain). We assess installation quality during first service and flag fixes — undersized drain causes water leaks that are otherwise mistaken for unit faults.
Panasonic inverter PCBs are reasonably economic to replace, which changes the repair-vs-replace decision: a 7-year-old Panasonic with PCB failure is usually worth repairing (RM 350–600), where the equivalent Daikin or Mitsubishi Electric might tilt toward replacement.
Pricing for Panasonic
Labour rate is brand-agnostic — we charge the same hourly rate regardless of brand. Parts vary by brand and we use OEM by default. Aftermarket parts available on request with tradeoffs explained.
